Exciting news for MMA fans as Amanda Ribas and Tabatha Ricci are set to go head-to-head in the upcoming UFC 318 undercard on July 19. This highly anticipated matchup was confirmed by multiple sources following a report by MMA Mania.
The main event of the pay-per-view show will feature Louisiana’s own Dustin Poirier in his retirement fight in New Orleans, where he will be facing BMF titleholder Max Holloway in a thrilling five-round clash.
Ribas, with a record of 12-6, has had an impressive run in the UFC, winning five out of seven fights as a strawweight. She recently defeated the current No. 1 ranked fighter in the 115-pound division, Virna Jandiroba. Despite facing some setbacks in her last two fights against Rose Namajunas and Mackenzie Dern, Ribas is determined to bounce back and secure a victory.
On the other hand, Ricci boasts a record of 11-3 and has emerged victorious in six of her eight UFC bouts at 115 pounds. After a tough debut loss to Manon Fiorot in 2021, she has defeated notable fighters such as Gillian Robertson, Angela Hill, and Tecia Pennington. Ricci will be looking to return to the win column after a defeat to Yan Xiaonan last November.
