Following UFC 314, Michael Bisping has declared that Michael Chandler is no longer a top lightweight contender.
Chandler, with a record of 23-10 MMA and 2-5 UFC, suffered a third-round TKO loss to Paddy Pimblett (23-3 MMA, 7-0 UFC) in the co-main event. This marks Chandler’s third consecutive loss and fifth in his last six fights.
Bisping stated on his YouTube channel, “I don’t say this lightly, but that was a career-killing performance for Michael Chandler. Paddy Pimblett just put an end to all of that.”
He continued, “On the contrary, Bisping praised Pimblett’s dominant performance, stating, “Paddy Pimblett looked ridiculous… After this performance, everyone’s going to be taking him a lot more seriously. He looked like a killer tonight.”
