Alexandre Pantoja Ready to Defend UFC Flyweight Title Against Kai Asakura

Alexandre Pantoja expresses his admiration for Demetrious Johnson and hopes to learn from the retired UFC champion’s skills and knowledge. Pantoja is set to defend his UFC flyweight title against Kai Asakura this Saturday at UFC 310. This will be Pantoja’s second headline on a pay-per-view card this year, facing off against the former RIZIN bantamweight champ and UFC newcomer.

While focusing on his upcoming fight with Asakura, Pantoja wonders if the UFC might consider re-signing Johnson in the future. Pantoja acknowledges Johnson as a legend in the sport and expresses his gratitude for paving the way for other fighters in the division.

Pantoja, who secured the flyweight title at UFC 290 by defeating Brandon Moreno, looks forward to potentially training with Johnson in the future. He values the opportunity to learn from one of the best fighters in the world and enhance his skills.

The 34-year-old champion, who is on a six-fight winning streak, aims to continue his success in the flyweight division. After successfully defending his title against Steve Erceg at UFC 301, Pantoja is determined to solidify his position as a top contender in the UFC.

Having faced many tough opponents on his journey to becoming a UFC champion, Pantoja looks forward to the possibility of training with Demetrious Johnson. He believes that training with Johnson would be a valuable experience that could benefit his career in the long run.
