Former UFC champion Michael Bisping is staying active in his retirement with a new lead role in an upcoming crime thriller directed by Nika Agiashvili.
Bisping will star in Atlas King alongside actor George Finn in a film described as a “gritty thriller.” The movie is being produced by Storyman Pictures and is set to be showcased at the Cannes Market during the annual Cannes Film Festival in France.
The casting news was first reported by Deadline.
In Atlas King, Bisping will portray a “hardened ex-fighter who returns to town after years in exile to bury his best friend and settle old scores. Teaming up with his godson (Finn), a street-level enforcer with ties to a criminal syndicate, the two plan a daring heist to escape the clutches of a ruthless mob boss.”
Bisping has previously landed prominent roles in various projects, including an upcoming adaptation of Red Sonja set to release in late 2025.
His acting credits also include appearances in the Twin Peaks revival, XXX: The Return of Xander Cage, and both Den of Thieves and Den of Thieves 2: Pantera.
Expressing his excitement for the collaboration, Bisping stated, “I’m thrilled to work with Nika and his team. The script immediately captured my attention.”
Atlas King is scheduled to begin production this summer, with filming taking place in downtown Los Angeles.
