Victor Wembanyama proves he knows how to bounce back in style.
Just one day after a rough game against his rival Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he struggled with only six points, Wembanyama came back strong. He recorded his second ever 5×5 game, showcasing his all-around skills on the court.
Against the Utah Jazz, Wembanyama put up impressive numbers with 25 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, five steals, and five blocks in a 106-88 victory. Surprisingly, these steals were his first of the season, coming in his fifth game.
Not only did he shine on the court, but he also impressed with his Halloween costume inspired by the movie “Spirited Away.”
The 5×5 game is a rare feat in basketball, with Wembanyama now being only the third player in NBA history to achieve this milestone multiple times. Hakeem Olajuwon leads the pack with six in over 1,200 games, followed by Andrei Kirilenko with three in nearly 800 games. Only a select few players have ever accomplished this feat.
What makes Wembanyama’s achievement even more remarkable is that he achieved it in just his 76th game since his debut in February. His unique combination of skills and athleticism makes him a threat on both ends of the court, capable of making game-changing plays with his length and agility.
