Draymond Green to Miss Thursday’s Game Against Houston Rockets Due to Calf Injury
Golden State Warriors big man Draymond Green, who sat out Tuesday’s game with a calf injury, received good news after an MRI on Wednesday came back clear. Despite the positive results, Green will still be sidelined for Thursday night’s game against the Houston Rockets.
The 34-year-old forward’s status for Friday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves remains uncertain as the Warriors monitor his recovery. In Green’s absence, third-year forward Jonathan Kuminga is expected to fill in.
Green, in his 11th season as the Warriors’ starting power forward, has been averaging 8.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game this season. The Warriors, currently holding a 12-8 record, are set to begin a three-game homestand starting Thursday, with consecutive games against the Timberwolves on Friday and Sunday.
