Jai Opetaia Defends IBF Cruiserweight Title with Fourth-Round Knockout

Jai Opetaia continues his winning streak as he defeats David Nyika in a thrilling boxing match in Gold Coast, Australia.

Opetaia successfully defended his IBF cruiserweight title with a brutal fourth-round knockout of the previously undefeated David Nyika.

Witness the explosive KO finish in the video below.

The fight ended with Opetaia landing a devastating right uppercut that sent Nyika to the canvas. Despite managing to get back up, Nyika appeared dazed and struggled to regain his composure.

Opetaia seized the opportunity, relentlessly pursuing Nyika and cornering him against the ropes. A series of powerful punches from Opetaia left Nyika tangled in the ropes before collapsing on the mat.

This victory marks Opetaia’s sixth consecutive title defense, maintaining his status as the IBF and The Ring cruiserweight champion. His record now stands at an impressive 27-0 with 21 wins by knockout.

On the other hand, Nyika faced his first professional defeat after a strong start in his career, having knocked out nine of his first 10 opponents. He stepped in as a replacement for IBF mandatory challenger Huseyin Cinkara, who withdrew from the fight due to an ankle injury.
