In its nearly three-decade history, the UFC has witnessed several unforgettable and shocking upsets inside the octagon.
Recently, the UFC shared a video on their YouTube channel showcasing some of the most stunning fights that left the MMA world in awe. The compilation features a number of UFC world title changes that took fans by surprise.
The video starts off with perhaps the most jaw-dropping upset in UFC history, when Georges St-Pierre defended his welterweight championship against Matt Serra. Despite being a significant underdog at nearly +900 odds, Serra shocked the world with a first-round knockout to claim the title at UFC 69 in April 2007.
Another notable upset highlighted in the video is Holly Holm’s stunning victory over Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in November 2015. Holm, a +830 underdog, secured the women’s bantamweight title with a memorable head kick knockout.
