Last night, Mason Rudolph stepped in for the Tennessee Titans after Will Levis was injured, and he delivered a solid performance. He completed 9 out of 17 passes for 85 yards without any turnovers and only one sack. It’s hard not to wonder if the Titans could have more wins if Rudolph had started all four games.
However, it’s clear that Rudolph has his limitations, and the Titans won’t be winning a Super Bowl with him as the quarterback. The real question is whether Levis has the potential to lead the team to a championship. The Titans need to give Levis the opportunity to reach his full potential.
I have my doubts about Levis’s ability to overcome his tendency to make risky plays and whether he has the mental acuity to be a franchise quarterback. There are still uncertainties surrounding his development.
While Rudolph could help the Titans maintain a .500 record for the season, it might not be enough to secure a playoff spot and could leave them stuck in quarterback purgatory. Giving Levis playing time allows the team to explore his potential and potentially secure a higher draft pick.
