Gene Hackman has passed away at the age of 95, found dead in his home on Wednesday along with his wife and dog.
Remembering a legend: The two-time Oscar winner had numerous iconic roles, but none more so than his portrayal of coach Norman Dale in the 1986 classic “Hoosiers,” often hailed as one of the greatest sports movies ever made. While “I’ll make it” is a standout moment, it’s Hackman’s performance during the “measurements” scene that truly resonates.
