Kevin Harvick is the favorite to win Sunday’s championship race at Phoenix, despite not being in contention for the title. He has the best odds of any driver at BetMGM, with odds of +350. This puts him slightly ahead of Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski, and Joey Logano, all of whom are competing for the championship.
Harvick is aiming for his 10th win of the season, which would make him the first driver since Jimmie Johnson in 2007 to achieve double-digit victories in a single season. While he won’t be able to win the title this year, his track record at Phoenix is impressive.
Since the track was repaved in 2011, Harvick has been dominant at Phoenix. He has won seven of the 18 races held at the track and has finished outside the top 10 only once. In his 13 starts at Phoenix with Stewart-Haas Racing, he has consistently finished in the top five.
Earlier this year, Harvick finished second at Phoenix, behind Logano. If he wins on Sunday, he will be the first non-title contender in NASCAR’s playoff format to win the final race of the season.
Logano, on the other hand, is currently the fourth-favorite among the championship drivers. The odds for the top four contenders are as follows:

Denny Hamlin (+500)
Hamlin, who won the fall race at Phoenix in 2019, is back at the track with hopes of repeating his success. As the second-winningest driver in the Cup Series this year, he has a strong chance of performing well at Phoenix.
Chase Elliott (+500)
Elliott, racing for his first title, has had mixed results at Phoenix in the past. While he has shown promise with five top-10 finishes, he has struggled in the fall races. However, his recent performances indicate that he could be a contender.
Brad Keselowski (+550)
Keselowski, known for his success at short tracks, could be a dark horse in the championship race. With wins at New Hampshire and Richmond, he has proven his ability to excel on similar tracks.
Joey Logano (+650)
Logano’s win earlier this year at Phoenix could give him an edge in the race. However, the changing dynamics of the sport make it difficult to predict the outcome based on past performances.
