The Presidents Cup took an unexpected turn on Friday afternoon as the International Team made a remarkable comeback. After a disappointing start with a sweep on Thursday, the International Team bounced back by sweeping the alternate shot matches on Friday afternoon. This impressive performance tied the event 5-5 at the halfway mark and made history as the first time two consecutive sessions were swept in both Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup history. It was also the International Team’s first alternate shot session win since 2005.
Looking ahead, Saturday will feature two sessions – four-ball matches in the morning and foursomes matches in the afternoon. This will set the stage for the final 12 singles matches on Sunday to determine the event’s outcome.
