Ben Simmons, former Philadelphia 76ers guard, has been a target of criticism from NBA fans for various reasons. However, the recent backlash seems unjustified. Simmons shared a photo on his Instagram story of him working out with his former teammate Matisse Thybulle, sparking a wave of negative comments about their offensive skills.

Simmons and Thybulle played together for two seasons in Philadelphia, during which Simmons achieved his best performances, earning All-Star selections. Thybulle, a late first-round pick, made a significant impact on defense.

While both players excelled defensively, the criticism revolved around their lack of shooting, particularly from the 3-point range. Thybulle’s shooting percentages from beyond the arc have been inconsistent over the years.

Despite expectations for improvement, Simmons struggled with his shooting throughout his NBA career. His failure to develop a reliable 3-point shot has been a point of contention.
