The Jacksonville Jaguars have unveiled their throwback uniforms for the upcoming 2024-24 NFL season. The team made the announcement on Thursday, showcasing the teal “Prowler” throwbacks that will be worn during Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts. This game will also coincide with the induction of former head coach Tom Coughlin into the Pride of the Jaguars.
The Jaguars had been teasing the uniform reveal with teaser videos in April and again on Tuesday. Today, they released a video featuring cornerback Tyson Campbell, safety Andre Cisco, and former right tackle Leon Searcy making the official reveal.
Jaguars President Mark Lamping expressed excitement about bringing back the iconic throwback uniforms, stating, “Our uniforms reminiscent of the team’s early years are back by popular demand – just in time for the 30th season and, in particular, the Pride of the Jaguars induction of our inaugural head coach, Tom Coughlin.”
The full-length jaguar logo, which was used by the Jaguars from 1995 to 2012, will make a return with these throwback uniforms. This marks the first uniform change for Jacksonville since 2019 when they transitioned to a more modern/minimalist look by getting rid of their two-tone helmets.
While 20 NFL teams incorporated throwback gear in 2023, the Jaguars opted to wait until their 30th season in 2024 to bring back the iconic logo. Fans can now purchase these throwback uniforms at shop.jaguars.com or at the Miller Electric Center pro shop.
