Aline Pereira’s ultimate goal is to establish a successful fighting career that provides financial stability for her family in the United States, eliminating the need for a secondary job to make ends meet.

As the younger sister of UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, she is set to make her return to the Karate Combat arena in Miami this Friday, where she will face off against Gisele Luna. Pereira finds inspiration training alongside legends such as her brother “Poatan” and former UFC champion Glover Teixeira, dreaming of a future where she can fully commit to her passion for the sport.

Following in her brother’s footsteps, Pereira began her career in kickboxing before transitioning to MMA in 2022-2023, earning a 1-2 record under the LFA organization. She is currently signed with Karate Combat and made a memorable debut with a highlight-reel knockout victory over Dee Begley last October.

Despite the improved pay in Karate Combat compared to her previous endeavors, Pereira still finds herself taking on additional work between fights to supplement her income.

“I do deliveries for Amazon, and we do what we have to do,” Pereira shared with MMA Fighting. “It’s a challenging routine balancing work and training, but it all pays off in the end.”

During her off-fight season, Pereira starts her day at 2:30 a.m., heading to an Amazon warehouse to pick up deliveries, aiming to avoid traffic and ensure she has time for training later in the day.

“It’s tough,” Pereira admitted. “We work for four and a half hours, but being in the United States has been beneficial for me and my son.”

Looking ahead to her upcoming bout, Pereira is focused on securing a victory to open up more opportunities in the combat sports realm. While continuing to hone her skills in wrestling and jiu-jitsu at Glover Teixeira’s gym, Pereira’s current focus is on making a name for herself in Karate Combat.

“I’m thrilled for the fight, I loved my debut,” Pereira expressed. “Karate Combat offers a unique platform, and I am prepared to deliver another exciting performance. The promotion’s growth and support for its athletes are commendable. While we always strive for a knockout, I cannot guarantee it. However, my brother and I are technically sound and always aim for the finish. Last time, I promised a knockout, and I delivered. She was talking a lot of trash, and I had to shut her up.”
