Blue Jays could make significant organizational changes, per insider

The Toronto Blue Jays were highly anticipated to be a dominant force in the American League for the 2024 season.

Many expected the Blue Jays to challenge the likes of the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles for supremacy in the American League East. With a roster filled with young, exciting talent and key offseason acquisitions, Toronto seemed poised for success.

However, the high expectations have not translated into on-field success. The Blue Jays currently find themselves at the bottom of the American League East standings, with little hope of climbing higher. This disappointing performance has put manager John Schneider’s job security in jeopardy, according to reports from the New York Post’s Jon Heyman.

“John Schneider, Blue Jays,” Heyman stated. “It appears that executives Mark Shapiro and Ross Atkins will likely survive the struggles of the 2024 season. However, Schneider could be the scapegoat, especially after disagreements following the team’s early playoff exit.”

Despite the Blue Jays’ efforts to build a competitive roster over the years, the results have not materialized as expected. With the end of the 2024 season approaching, it seems that Schneider’s time in Toronto may be coming to an end.

It wouldn’t be surprising if the Blue Jays opt for a complete overhaul of their roster moving forward.
