Iga Świątek emerged victorious in the women’s singles final at the 2024 French Open, defeating Jasmine Paolini with a score of 6-2, 6-1.

The 23-year-old player secured her 21st consecutive win at Roland Garros and claimed her third consecutive French Open singles title. She dominated the match by winning 11 out of the final 12 games played.

Paolini, aged 28, struggled against Świątek, who now boasts five Grand Slam titles in her career. With 15 unforced errors, Paolini was unable to stage a comeback after losing her early lead of 2-1 in the first set.

As the current world No. 1, Świątek is now a three-time defending French Open singles champion. She only dropped one set throughout the tournament and has joined the ranks of Monica Seles (1990-92) and Justine Henin (2005-07) as the third woman in the Open Era to win the French Open for three consecutive years.

Furthermore, Świątek has become one of the few women, alongside Henin (4), Steffi Graf (6), and Chris Evert (7), to win the singles title at Roland Garros four times. Remarkably, at just 23 years old, she is the youngest player to achieve this milestone.
