Manchester City will continue their Women’s Super League campaign this Sunday as they welcome West Ham to the Joie Stadium. Last time out, City narrowly defeated Brighton at the same venue, while West Ham managed to secure a 1-1 draw against Liverpool at home. Despite being in League Cup action on Wednesday night, City have a tough match against Barcelona coming up next week.

With both Chelsea and Manchester United out of action this weekend due to postponements, City have a great opportunity to earn some crucial points and put early pressure on their title rivals.

In terms of head-to-head record, West Ham will face a tough challenge against City. Looking at current form in all competitions, City has been performing well, while West Ham has had mixed results.

For viewers in the United Kingdom, the match will be available on WSL YouTube and CITY+. In the United States and Canada, CITY+ will broadcast the game, while Optus Sport and CITY+ will cover it in Australia.

City will be without Sandy MacIver and Risa Shimizu for the clash against West Ham, but Jill Roord returned from injury last week. Defender Alex Greenwood, who picked up a knock in the Champions League, was fit to play against Brighton. However, Leila Ouahabi was absent due to a groin injury.

Looking ahead to the Champions League clash against Barcelona, City manager Gareth Taylor may opt to rotate the squad for the league match.

On the other hand, West Ham will be missing Jess Ziu due to an ACL injury. Manager Skinner rotated heavily in the midweek League Cup game, giving competitive debuts to three players. Riko Ueki and Viviane Asseyi were also second-half substitutes.

Predicted lineups for the game include a 4-3-3 formation for City and a 3-4-3 setup for West Ham. Considering the upcoming Champions League fixtures, both teams will be aiming to secure a positive result in this match.

In conclusion, City is predicted to dominate the game with a 4-0 victory over West Ham. Stay tuned for the latest WSL news, quotes, opinions, and analysis.
