Bournemouth has reportedly agreed on a club-record £40.2 million transfer deal with Porto for Brazilian striker Evanilson. The 24-year-old will undergo a medical on Thursday, according to sources.

The deal includes an initial payment of £31.7m with potential add-ons of £8.5m for Porto’s top scorer last season. This news was reported by BBC Sport.

Following the departure of Dominic Solanke to Tottenham in a transfer worth up to £65m, Bournemouth is looking to strengthen their attacking options with Evanilson’s arrival.

Evanilson: Porto to Bournemouth

Bournemouth’s manager, Andoni Iraola, sees Evanilson as a key signing to improve the team’s performance after finishing 12th in the previous season. Iraola aims to build on a run of good results towards the end of the season.

Despite defensive concerns, Iraola is hopeful that Evanilson’s goal-scoring abilities will bolster the team’s attacking prowess. The Brazilian forward’s arrival marks a significant investment for the club.

Evanilson stats

Evanilson has been a standout performer for Porto, consistently scoring goals in the Liga Portugal. His impressive goal-scoring record and contributions in European competitions highlight his potential impact at Bournemouth.

Having earned caps for the Brazilian national team, Evanilson’s experience and skillset make him a valuable addition to Bournemouth’s squad for the upcoming season.
