Welcome to Fenway Park where the Boston Red Sox are gearing up to take on the San Diego Padres in the first of a three-game series. After a split series with the Blue Jays and a suspended game, the Red Sox are looking to secure a win on their home turf.

Starting on the mound for Boston is Nick Pivetta, who has been a solid performer this season with a 4.06 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. He will face off against Randy Vasquez of the Padres, who has struggled with a 5.10 ERA and 1.68 WHIP.

Here is Alex Cora’s lineup for the game:

  1. Jarren Duran CF
  2. David Hamilton 2B
  3. Wilyer Abreu RF
  4. Rafael Devers 3B
  5. Tyler O’Neill LF
  6. Masataka Yoshida DH
  7. Connor Wong C
  8. Dom Smith 1B
  9. Ceddanne Rafaela SS

Pivetta will look to shut down the Padres lineup, with only a few players having success against him in the past. Vasquez, on the other hand, will aim to continue his recent success and stifle the Red Sox bats.

It’s sure to be an exciting matchup at Fenway Park, so be sure to tune in and catch all the action!
