The MLB All-Star Game is fast approaching, but unfortunately, the Boston Red Sox won’t have any position players starting the game for the American League against the National League.

Recently, the results of the All-Star Game fan vote were revealed on ESPN, unveiling the top two vote-getters at each position who will move on to the next phase of voting.

For the Red Sox, third baseman Rafael Devers came in third place behind Jose Ramirez from Cleveland and Jordan Westburg from Baltimore. Catcher Connor Wong secured the fourth spot, following Adley Rutschman from Baltimore, Salvador Perez from Kansas City, and Bo Naylor from Cleveland.

Outfielders Jarren Duran, Wilyer Abreu, and Tyler O’Neill from Boston landed in the 16th, 19th, and 20th positions respectively, while the top five included Aaron Judge and Juan Soto from New York, Stevan Kwan from Cleveland, Anthony Santander from Baltimore, and Kyle Tucker from Houston.

Here are the final Phase 1 All-Star voting results

Although there is still a chance for some Red Sox players to make it to the roster through the player ballot, and Tanner Houck might even get the nod to start on the mound if he maintains his impressive performance this season, these results are undeniably disappointing considering the exceptional performances of several Red Sox players this year.
