Following his impressive victory over Leon Edwards at UFC Fight Night 255, Sean Brady didn’t hold back in his comments about the former champion’s performance.
Brady criticized Edwards for focusing too much on his previous loss to Belal Muhammad and not being fully prepared for their fight. He believed that Edwards’ lack of focus showed in the octagon as Brady dominated the bout and secured a fourth-round submission victory.
After the fight, Brady reiterated his belief that Edwards was distracted and not fully focused on the task at hand. He felt that Edwards was too concerned about irrelevant factors such as Brady’s height, which ultimately cost him the fight.
Despite joining a select group of fighters who have defeated Edwards, Brady distinguished himself by finishing the fight decisively and not leaving it in the hands of the judges. While he is not demanding a title shot, Brady expects significant opportunities in the future.
Meanwhile, Edwards will need to regroup and make improvements if he wants to make another run at the welterweight championship. Brady noted that Edwards tends to rely on his striking abilities but struggles when the fight doesn’t go according to plan.
